We were thrilled to have a special performance by Dean Colley from the Neil Diamond tribute band, Hot August Night. For over two decades, Dean has captivated audiences across the U.S., Canada, Japan, and England with his uncanny resemblance to Neil Diamond in both voice and style. His impressive career includes several sold-out performances at the local Claremont Candlelight Pavilion.

The timeless music of Neil Diamond provided the perfect setting for our Valentine’s Day luncheon celebration, honoring the promise of love, the joy of music and the warmth of friendship.  And, of course, the chance to sing along to "Sweet Caroline" and enjoy this incredible tribute.

Ever think you ate too much lunch? After our lunch, our January luncheon program solved that problem by blending fitness fun with dance energy! Step, sway and smile your way through the new year with this amazing collaboration! The first portion of the program began with a presentation by Brandi Price, certified Silver Sneaker instructor, demonstrating a variety of fun and easy exercises tailored for older adults. The second half of the program featured a captivating performance by the Roamin’ Gypsies, a tribal fusion belly dance group known for their colorful costumes and expressive music. This collaboration promotes active living through accessible exercises and the joy of dance.

Our annual Christmas Luncheon is always a wonderful event, made even better with entertainment by the one and only Anthony Bernasconi (AJ) and his talented wife Doniele.   We were so excited to have AJ return this year to perform all of our Christmas favorites as only he can do.  AJ has been performing professional for over 20 years including his wonderful Bublé tribute.  He performs in Las Vegas, around California and even at the Lewis Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga.  The luncheon also included a silent auction for the benefit of Uplanders Club.

A wonderful lunch and a spellbinding  afternoon of magic with Micah the Magician. Micah has performed at the famous and exclusive Magic Castle in L.A. and many other venues with his interactive magic shows.  He visited several tables to share special closeup magic tricks as well as challenging us with a performance for the entire group.  It was truly a wonderful luncheon with so many of our members attending, and very entertaining magical performance.

Dr. Doug McKown and Dr. Carlyn Werderman from the non-profit Samaritan Counseling Center (our 2025-2026 Charity-of-Choice) presented an overview and examples of the services they provide to individuals and families in our communities.  They have been providing critically needed psychological services to those in need for over 50 years, and we are honored to be able to support this important effort.  For more information about the Samaritan Counseling Center please click HERE.

In addition, we had 3 vendors selling various items with a percentage of their profits donated to our organization.
