Monthly Scheduled Group Activities

Be as active as you want. Do you have an idea for an individual social event or new activity? We’re open to suggestions. That’s how all of these groups started!
 

Book Club

These gals meet at 10 am on the last Monday of the month. What a great way to share a common interest with friends. Optional lunch follows.
 

Bunco Babes

A fun, fast-paced dice game. Just show up with $6 at 10 am, on the 3rd Wednesday. These fabulous babes meet at Casa Jimenez, on Foothill Blvd in Claremont.
 

Chick Flicks

These chickees flock together the 1st Wednesday in Claremont in front of the Laemmle theater. They meet at 11:30 to select a restaurant nearby for lunch. Then they take advantage of senior tickets at $6.
 

Chicken Foot

These hens gather for a fun domino game, similar to Mexican Train. Lots of clucking and laughter here. They meet at 12:30 on the 3rd Friday with $5 to play. The top two lowest scores win and the highest score has the buy returned.
 

Feeling Crafty

Do you have a flare for creating holiday gifts, or just fun things? This is an outlet for getting together to learn something new. Surprise your “inner-self” by seeing what you can make or create! Plus, a nice light lunch! Craft materials $5 and an optional contribution toward lunch.
 

Mexican Train

Lots of laughs with this fun domino game! The group meets at on the 4th Wednesday, at 12:30. $5 gets you in the game with 3 winners taking home the cash.
 

Morning Glories

These early bloomers meet on the 3rd Tuesday at 9 am. Light conversation over coffee and/or breakfast. Meets at a variety of restaurants. Great way to start your day.
 

Sassy Stitchers

Our newest group will keep you in “stitches!” Bring your project or learn a new hobby – knit, crochet, needlepoint, embroidery, or? They meet on the third Thursdays, from 1-3pm in members’ homes. This cozy group also enjoys light refreshments.
 

Wine a Little – Laugh a Lot

Bring your own wine glass, a bottle of wine and a dessert, or appetizer. Don’t eat before you come. There’s always plenty to share. Bring your spouse, or a friend at 5 pm. We meet at larger homes that can accommodate us all. Talk about a good time! Did I mention wine? (No, you don’t have to drink wine. You can bring beer, soda, flavored water, etc.)
